In particular, through foreign language classroom of CMS, two-way exchanging between teacher and student and between student and other student is carried out simply, especially, the student can be active in asking for assistance from teacher and at the same time teacher can also easily monitor the activities of students without interrupting studying process. Sharing and searching learning materials are also easier than ever before when the students can select files from server or Internet and share them serving for their foreign language learning.
Besides assistances during study from teacher, foreign language classroom also helps the teacher test and evaluate study results of students easily while the teacher can also quickly create tests and automatically evaluate testing results.
Especially, different from normal foreign language classroom, the foreign language classroom provided by CMS is evaluated as helping to increase effectively state budget used at schools or education centers because this classroom can be applied for many other subjects.
Application of IT in teaching and learning foreign languages has developed strongly and has been managed to confirm its important role in teaching and learning foreign languages. However, as surveyed by IT application experts in education sector, at the present IT application software applied for teaching in Vietnam is all designed simply and not yet equipped with sufficiently knowledge to exploit to the full applications of IT in teaching and learning foreign language. CMS foreign language classroom is one of efforts by R&D department of CMS Company to aim at meeting continuously demands for IT and IT application into Vietnamese education. This is the result of the successful cooperation in research and development between CMS and Intel.
Solution for CMS multi-functional foreign language classroom applying Mythware software is regulated in Circular No. 08/2010/TT-BGDĐT dated 01/03/2010 on using software with freely opened source code in education agencies.
In12/2011, CMS introduced to the market another preeminent solution for schools named CMS SmartClass. CMS SmartClass applying Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 software provided by Microsoft, a computer can support many users at the same time. Each user operates interpedently using their own monitor, keyboard and mouse with familiar computer experience.
In the “Second Education IT Festival” held at the end of March recently, CMS displayed and introduced these two solutions to education managers and customers.
