According to Mr. Le Anh Vu, Director of Value-Added Business Center of CMC Telecom, Multi-Cloud model helps businesses to ensure that services are not interrupted if problems occur and to save costs because it can be used on many platforms for many business purposes.

On 21 February 2019, CMC Telecom introduced the CMC Multi-Cloud Platform in Vietnam Cloud & Datacenter Convention held in Hanoi as a product to meet  the needs of businesses during the process of digital transformation. Multi-Cloud Platform of CMC Telecom is an open platform which is able to connect to other cloud computing providers. Customers can experience cloud services from major companies in the world with an only admin page.

CMC Multi-Cloud Platform uses technology based on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), which is also the advanced technology used by IBM and Google. The platform includes administration portal, making it easy for businesses to manage, charge and integrate multi-cloud computing services from service providers such as IBM, Amazon Web Services, Google, Microsoft, CMC Cloud on the platform of CMC Telecom.

In the report of Right Scale (USA) about the world’s cloud market in 2018, 95% of businesses are using the cloud and 81% of businesses use multi-cloud service. According to Mr. Le Anh Vu, Director of Value Added Business Center of CMC Telecom, “Multi-Cloud model helps businesses to ensure that services are not interrupted if problems occur and to save costs because it can be used on many platforms for many business purposes, and it also inherits the utilities given by the providers."

Unlike other multi-cloud platforms in the world which are purely software-based, CMC Telecom has the advantage of being a telecommunications provider with infrastructure directly connected to the Data Center of major cloud providers. In Vietnam, CMC Telecom is currently the only entity to provide direct data connection to Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google and IBM.
