CMC Corporation and Minister of Information and Communications of Vietnam attend Cambodia's biggest IT event
The "Digital Cambodia 2019" technology forum and exhibition held at the Koh Pich Convention & Exhibition Center (Phnom Penh, Cambodia) is an event hosted by Cambodia's Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications to introduce vision and plan to 2025 of the Government and the Royal Family of Cambodia in transforming the digital economy and being ready for Industry 4.0. The event is attended by H.E. Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of Cambodia, H.E. Tram Iv Tek - Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, as well as 10 other ICT Ministers of ASEAN countries and more than 20,000 visitors.

At the event, CMC Corporation made an impression at the exhibition area of Digital Cambodia 2019 with 3 technology solutions that are fully developed by Vietnamese people: CISE - a comprehensive security solution for information system, CMC NextGen SOC - the new generation of cyber security center, and C.OPE2N (CMC Open Ecosystem for Enterprise) - an open ecosystem which integrates all technology strengths of CMC, such as Multi-Cloud platform, Data Lake, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and application platform, allowing agencies, enterprises and clients of CMC to link and share data resources in the digital environment.
Mr. Vu Lam Bang (Director of Product Research & Development Center, CMC Infosec) introduced the products to be exhibited: "Organizations and enterprises who wish to develop must build infrastructure that is sustainable, secured and monitorable. CISE (CMC Internet Security Enterprise) is a comprehensive security solution for information systems against malicious attacks. Meanwhile, CMC NextGen SOC is the first AI-integrated cyber security center in Vietnam, which is the best solution to help businesses get a comprehensive view of their system security and solve defense issues for the information system in the most sustainable way. With the introduction of CMC security products at Digital Cambodia 2019, CMC hopes to provide information security services for businesses and organizations in Cambodia.” Also at Digital Cambodia 2019, Mr. Ha The Phuong (Deputy CEO of CMC Infosec) will attend the discussion on advantages and disadvantages in developing IT service solutions (Development Service Solutions). Mr. Phuong is also the only Vietnamese speaker at this conference.
Previously, in the working schedule, the leadership of CMC Corporation had also participated in important meetings with the Minister, such as the meeting of Vietnamese ICT companies which are operating or having business investment in Cambodia on the afternoon of March 13, 2019 and a bilateral meeting between H.E. Nguyen Manh Hung and Cambodia's Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications on the morning of March 14, 2019. At the meeting with Vietnamese ICT companies, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh (Chairman of Board of Directors/CEO of CMC Corporation) had reported to the Minister of CMC investment portfolio in the Southeast Asia: "At the end of 2018, CMC Telecom has cooperated with TIME dotCom Malaysia and TIME Cambodia to acquire the capacity of AAE1 cable route from Cambodia to Hong Kong and to connect to its backbone cable system - CVCS- with initial capacity of 300Gbps, which can be expanded to multiple Tbs, and a total investment of 10 million USD. Thus, clients approaching CMC for broadband services can be able to use these services in many countries instead of being limited to Vietnam. This is the first step for stronger investment of CMC in Southeast Asia market."

At the meeting with H.E. Tram Iv Tek, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, H.E. Nguyen Manh Hung also introduced CMC Corporation as one of the top ICT companies in Vietnam, which has exported some high-quality ICT products and services to Japan and other Asian countries. H.E. Nguyen Manh Hung wished CMC as well as other Vietnamese ICT companies can provide maximum support for Cambodia to develop infrastructure, facilities and IT human resources. The two ministers also signed cooperation instruments between Vietnam's Ministry of Information & Communications and Cambodia's Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, marking a new milestone for the cooperation between the two countries in the field of IT and telecommunications on the basis of friendship.
Cambodia's Minister of Posts and Telecommunications wishes to learn from the experience of Vietnam's Ministry of Information & Communications in developing post, telecommunications and IT services.
This event is also the first international visit of H.E. Nguyen Manh Hung as Minister to affirm the desire to expand investment and business cooperation between the two countries in the field of information and communications.
